Great hotel on main street of Thessaloniki, affordable prices, friendly service+ bus stop 50 metres (including airport express snd buses to intercity bus station and railway station). Not suitable for people with disabilities - the receiption in on first floor, no elevator. Very friendly staff, card payments accepted, reception 24/7

This is a seriously amazing cost-benefit hotel. I stayed with a friend in a double suite paying roughly the same price we paid for a 8-bed hostel room in Madrid. The beds were super comfy, there's very good AC, a small fridge, amenities in the bathroom, everything and more you could ever ask for paying this little. The localization is great, in a very lively area of town and at walking distance of many of the good sights. However, be aware there's no elevator to get between floors.

Excellent value for money, very helpful and friendly staff, had everything that I needed (towels, shampoo, wi-fi, fridge, air con, glasses, slippers), added plus the baggage storage after checking out. The hotel is located on Egnatia Street, there are bus stops 1 min away that can take you everywhere (including the airport, bus 01X), and it is also above the Valaoritou area (literally seconds away) where most of the cool bars & clubs of the city are located nowadays. You've got any shop that you might need just moments away from the hotel (i.e. bakery, breakfast place, convenience store, cafes, fast food take-aways etc.) and it is just a few mins walk away from a lot of the main spots of the city (Aristotelous, Agias Sophias, Tsimiski, port, seaside, museums, Agora Modiano, Ladadika, Roman Agora, Louloudadika, Plateia Athonos, Kapani market and so on). I should point out that the hotel is not suitable for people with access needs and people that struggle with climbing stairs, as the main staircase that leads to the reception is quite steep. The hotel is also not suitable for morons who pay Ryanair prices and expect Singapore Airlines facilities! The place is absolutely fine, it is not luxurious, it offers everything that you need for a short stay. People who expect big plasma TVs, Persian carpets, marble sinks, American-style two-door fridges, designer furniture/decoration etc. when they pay budget prices, as well as people who visit Thessaloniki and spend more than sleep/rest time in a hotel room, are probably in the wrong place - Thessaloniki is such a vibrant city that you should spend as much time as possible exploring the city and enjoying its lifestyle. So instead of slaughtering a small independent hotel with negative reviews, book a room at Makedonia Palace and pay accordingly.

Good price for what you get (at least when I visited.) A lot of stairs if you mind that, I sure haven’t.

Once you realise that this is basic accommodation at a fair price for the area it isn't too bad. My room had a private and clean bathroom with hot water. The sleeping area was clean and the beds comfortable. The location is good and under normal circumstances would deserve a price premium. Staff were always available to answer any questions but expect answers to be presented in gruff Greek style. Overall a good experience for the cost.

Nice hotel to stay for 1 or 2 days. The reception desk will help you whenever you talk to them. The bed is comfortable and clean. The bathroom is smaller and not enough space to turn around. And keep in mind, there isn't an elevator so you have to go up with your heavy luggage using steep stairs.

Walking distance to pretty much everywhere. The rooms are reasonable. We stayed in a room with 4 beds and a private bathroom for 60 euros in August, but most rooms seem to have no private bathroom. There was no hair dryer in the rooms, but there were shampoos, soaps and towels. They marked it as they have a parking area but they don't, it's just one parking space with signs on it and they don't let you park there. Parking is a problem in this area in general so keep that in mind, we had to roam around for more than 20 minutes to find an available space.
